FM Approved four-band UV+IR flame detector (IR3+UV) for hydrocarbon and hydrogen fires. 50 m range, <1 s fastest alarm, 4–20 mA, RS-485/Modbus, HART.
The F750/UVIR3 is a multi-spectral UV+IR flame detector designed to detect both hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon flames, including hydrogen. It uses a narrow-band current-mode pyroelectric IR sensor tailored for hydrogen characteristics plus a high-performance UV phototube, combined with a 32-bit MCU and dedicated hydrogen signal-processing algorithms. This architecture delivers fast response, wide detection coverage, and strong immunity to common false-alarm sources (sunlight, artificial lighting, welding, lightning, blackbody radiation), enabling reliable protection in challenging indoor/outdoor environments
UV+IR (IR3+UV) four-band design: Detects hydrocarbon and hydrogen flames with strong anti-interference performance
Ultra-fast response: fastest alarm time < 1 s (application dependent); typical n-heptane response ≤ 10 s at rated distance
Long range: effective alarm distance up to 50 m (1 ft² n-heptane)
Outputs: Alarm/Fault/Aux relays, 4–20 mA, RS-485 (Modbus); HART supported
Configurable sensitivity levels; Optical Integrity (OI) auto-test
Robust compliance: EMC performance beyond GB requirements; meets SIL3 requirements
