Overview
The VDRS series vane-type waterflow detectors are designed for water-filled fire sprinkler systems to sense water movement and provide electrical signals for alarm activation.
When the flow rate exceeds 10 GPM (37.8 L/min), the flow deflects the detector vane, triggering the switch output after a preset mechanical delay.
If flow drops below 4 GPM (15 L/min), the switch resets automatically.
Each model features:
Tamper-resistant cover and dual synchronized SPDT switches
Built-in pneumatic mechanical delay (0–90 seconds adjustable, factory set to 20s)
Excellent repeatability and vibration resistance
UL/FM rated for 31 bar (450 psi) at 0–68°C (32–155°F)
Compatible with steel pipes (Schedule 10–40)
Note: VDRS detectors are suitable for wet-pipe systems only. Not for deluge or preaction systems.
